It’s been an unsettling time for business owners, and many of you will be wondering if things will ever be the same again. Personally I think many of us will view the world and our priorities with fresh eyes, reviewing the way we work and how we interact with our planet. Life may perhaps take on new meaning as we take stock and reset.
Whatever your plans, whether you are reinventing yourself or seeking a new career, this enforced ‘52 card pick up’ moment has really shaken things up, there’s no question.
Once I got over the initial shock of work coming to a virtual halt when the first Covid-19 lockdown announcement was made by Boris Johnson, I took stock and made a plan. First, I took time out to let things sink in - let’s face it, who could be expected to concentrate. Then I decided if my business was to survive I needed to put all my energy into believing that it could, and that this situation was just going to be temporary. My self belief and a bit of luck has so far kept my head above water, thanks to moral support from my husband, family and friends, as well as clients who’ve endeavoured to retain my services, despite challenging circumstances - plus support from HMRC!
New website, new chapter here goes. As the number of services I’ve offered as a freelancer has expanded, I’ve taken to collaborating with selected partners, to give my customers a fully integrated service. Hastings and St Leonards on Sea is chock full of creatives, so please meet some of the experts I collaborate with in the gallery below.
